PRIVACY POLICY

Protecting your private information is our priority. This policy explains the information Starbright School may collect and how it is used.

Effective August 14, 2026

Scope of this policy

This Statement of Privacy applies to starbright.com, starbrightschool.com, starbrighttheater.com, and starbright.net (the “Websites”), and Starbright School, Inc. (“Starbright”), and governs data collection and usage. Unless otherwise noted, references to Starbright include those Websites, Starbright School, Inc., and the school’s student information system known as Starbright SIS. By using the Websites, you consent to the data practices described in this statement.

Collection of personal information

To better provide products and services, Starbright may collect information such as:

  • First and last name
  • Email address
  • Mailing address
  • Phone number
  • Employer
  • Job title

If you purchase Starbright services, we may collect billing, credit-card, and bank-account information to complete the transaction. We may also collect demographic information that is not unique to you, such as date of birth and gender.

We do not collect personal information unless you voluntarily provide it. You may be asked for information when requesting information, joining a waitlist, enrolling in a program, obtaining event tickets, sending an email, or paying for services. We use that information to communicate with you about the products or services you requested and may collect additional personal or non-personal information in the future.

Use of personal information

Starbright collects and uses personal information to operate its Websites and business and to deliver requested services. Starbright may also use personally identifiable information to inform you of other products or services available from Starbright and its affiliates.

Sharing information with third parties

Starbright does not sell, rent, or lease its customer lists to third parties.

Starbright may share data with trusted partners that perform statistical analysis, send email or postal mail, provide customer support, or arrange deliveries. These partners may use personal information only to provide services to Starbright and are required to keep it confidential.

Starbright may disclose personal information when required by law or when it believes disclosure is necessary to comply with legal process, protect Starbright’s rights or property, or protect the personal safety of Starbright users or the public.

Automatically collected information and cookies

Starbright may automatically collect information about your computer hardware and software, including IP address, browser type, domain names, access times, and referring website addresses. This information helps operate the Websites, maintain service quality, and provide general usage statistics.

The Websites may use cookies to personalize your experience and remember information on later visits. Cookies cannot run programs or deliver viruses. You can usually configure your browser to decline cookies, though some Website features may not work fully as a result. On this site, you can also use the control in the footer at any time.

Online advertising and previous website visits

Starbright uses website activity to measure our advertising and understand which pages help families plan a visit. We may also use this activity to show Starbright ads to people who previously visited our Websites. Third-party vendors, including Google, may show these ads on other websites and apps. OpenAI may show Starbright ads in ChatGPT.

Starbright uses OpenAI advertising measurement tools to understand when an ad shown in ChatGPT leads to a tour request or scheduled tour. For these events, Starbright may provide OpenAI with ad and browser reference identifiers, a hashed email address, a hashed internal lead identifier, IP address, browser information, country, city, and ZIP code. The browser tool may detect supported form information and hash it before transmission. Starbright does not provide OpenAI with parent names, phone numbers, or information about a child for this purpose.

Google and other vendors may use cookies or device identifiers to select ads based on a previous visit to our Websites. When analytics is active and a parent submits a tour request, Starbright may use anonymous Google Analytics client and session identifiers to connect the accepted request or scheduled tour to that website session. Starbright does not send the parent's name, information about a child, or the exact tour time to Google Analytics. When analytics is active, Starbright may send a hashed email address and phone number, one-way values that cannot be read as contact details, so Google can match a tour request to the ad that brought the family here. Selecting Essential only stops this. Starbright does not use the age of a child entered on an inquiry form to create a personalized advertising audience.

When analytics is active, Starbright may retain advertising source, campaign, and raw click-reference information in the same browser for up to 30 days. This helps us recognize an ad's influence when a family returns later or visits through another channel before requesting a tour. After a click reference expires, the browser may retain a non-reversible suppression value for up to 30 additional days so an old tagged link is not counted as a new ad click. Selecting Essential only removes this retained browser history.

You can turn off analytics and advertising measurement at any time through . You can also manage how Google personalizes ads through Google Ads Settings. The Websites continue to work when you select Essential only.
